Autumn Cleaning

Autumn Cleaning

Sure, spring cleaning might be the official trend, but the PETS team are big believers in a good ol’ fashioned autumn clean, too! Autumn is a great season to get your pet gear ship shape and ready for the cold winter months.

We recommend:

  • Giving your pet a thorough groom, to help loosen any dead skin cells and give your pet’s coat the best start to winter possible. If your pet has suffered from fleas during the summer, PETS recommends keeping up a preventative for the autumn months, just to ensure any possible remaining eggs don’t have a chance to latch on to your host dog or cat.
  • Cleaning your pet’s bedding. It’s a fact – animals can sweat, just like humans can, and after the hot summer we’ve had, your pet’s bed is bound to be in need of some cleaning. Give your pet’s bed a wash and in turn give your pet the warmest and freshest start to the cooler months
  • Give your pet’s teeth a bit of a clean. Many people’s pets spend more time indoors during winter, and who wants to do that with a pooch with bad breath? Invest in some special doggy toothpaste and get those pearlers shiny white!

  • Ensure your pet is properly toilet trained. With many pups spending more time inside with the colder weather, toilet training is essential! For those looking to teach their pet a thing or two, we recommend the Urine Neutralising Training Pads from Yours Droolly. These anti-bacterial pads kill 99.9 per cent of harmful germs, and are super absorbent, sucking up three cups worth of puppy pee! The odour-neutralising technology also absorbs that yucky urine smell, so your house will smell fresh as a daisy. For more information, visit masterpet.com.au
