We’d not heard of Visit The Zoo Day before, but any excuse to get out and about in some of our local wildlife parks sounds all right by us! Visit The Zoo Day is an event designed to get us visiting those fantastic institutions around the country that help educate the public about fantastic wild animals.

Some of our favourite zoos include Australia Zoo in Queensland’s Beerwah, where there’s a strong focus on conservation, and the Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo — the enclosures there are big and fabulous, giving the animals lots of room.

So why not get behind this great initiative and visit your local zoo on December 27? You’ll thank us later.
