Cat Protection Society NSW

Cat Protection began in 1958, as a small group of people dedicated to reducing the number of stray cats by desexing and finding loving and responsible homes for street cats.

Cat Protection works to ensure every cat has a loving and responsible home and offer a range of feline care services from the purpose-designed, no-kill shelter in Newtown, Sydney.

What Cat Protection does

  • Finds loving and responsible homes for strays and cats in need
  • Improve the quality of life for cats by educating the community about socially and environmentally responsible cat care
  • Actively work with government and non-government agencies to promote and improve cat welfare
  • Honour the unique relationship between people and cats
