Save A Horse Australia Horse Rescue & Sanctuary was established by Amanda Vella in 2001 and became a fully registered not for profit organisation in 2009.
The charity group take in unwanted, neglected, abused and slaughter-bound horses to rehabilitate them and find them a perfect forever home.
Currently sanctuaries operate in Buccan, Tarampa and Minden in south-east Queensland.
