Love pampering your pet? Now your love can help them live longer!

Research by Banfield, the largest vet group in the US, has found that dogs and cats have longer life expectancies because owners are happy to spend more time and money looking after them.

Adorable designer outfits, organic, human-grade dog food and educational toys are all having a healthy impact on animal’s lives.

Animal advocate and founder of Just for Pets Karen Justice says humanising our pets is helping to increase their life expectancy. “Pet owners are treating their animal like it’s their child, often referred to as a “fur baby” and as a result there are pet products on the market that weren’t even thought of five years ago.”

“Dog’s life expectancy has doubled in the past 40 years and house cats now live twice as long as they used to”, she said.

It just goes to show the more you love your pet, the happier and healthier they will be. So give your pet a hug from us!
